A: Yes, applicants must be NASS members. NASS membership is free and can be obtained by simply registering on our official website. Once registered, you can apply for fundings or other cooperation opportunities.

Q2: What types of grants does NASS offer? Which one should I apply for?

A: Currently, NASS offers one main type of research grant (with potential to introduce additional funding opportunities in the future):
Funding for academic leaders: for senior researchers, supporting large-scale research projects, who are willing to contribute to the academic development and organize the high-quality submissions.

Q3: How long is the review process? When will I know the results?

A: For all grant types, we guarantee a review decision within 1 week (from the application deadline or the date your complete submission is received). You will receive a confirmation email upon submission, followed by the final result notification (via email or the application portal) once the review is complete.

Q4: Who evaluates my application? Is the review process fair and transparent?

A: All applications are reviewed by NASS’s research project evaluation committee of thousands of members around the world, spanning diverse research fields such as architecture, ecology, agriculture, digital technology, healthcare, and more. These experts evaluate applicants and proposals based on our standardized assessment criteria (e.g., research potential, feasibility, academic value) in a fair, impartial, and transparent manner, ensuring every application receives professional and unbiased consideration.
