On the morning of September 3, 2022, the “World Frontier Science and Technology Conference”, co-hosted by China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
As an important part of the 2022 International Fair for Trade in Services (IFTS), the World Frontier Science and Technology Conference is committed to providing scientists in the field of advanced science and technology from all over the world with a platform where they can communicate, interact and share their achievements. It also provides entrepreneurs and people around the world with a window through which they can learn about the world’s advanced science and technology developments and grasp the latest scientific and technological information. At the same time, it also provides solutions for countries deeply affected by COVID-19 and climate change, enables advanced science and technology to contribute to the development and progress of the world economy and human civilization, and helps achieve the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
At the opening ceremony, President of China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, the chairman of the organizing committee of the World Frontier Science and Technology Conference, Mr. Duan Miyi who gave great support to the conference, stressed that adhering to the principle of “science and technology industrialize, industry scientizes and technicalizes”, China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology has been committed to promotion of scientific and technological innovation, the transformation of achievements, and international communication of science and technology. The conference jointly hosted with UNIDO aims to provide a platform for scientists, industrialists and investors in various frontier fields to collide ideas, exchange information and exchange what they need. In particular, it aims to provide solutions for the world economy, which is deeply affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and climate change, and help global economic recovery.
Ma Peihua, Vice chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and former Executive Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese People’s Democratic Construction Committee, congratulated and delivered a speech at the meeting. He said that given the intertwined situation of a century of changes and a century of COVID-19 and the world economic recovery facing the severe challenges, scientific and technological innovation and development is an effective way for countries to jointly explore solutions to major global issues. In terms of frontier science and technology innovation, countries should strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in science and technology to jointly meet the challenges of The Times.
In this conference, the organizing committee of “World Frontier Science and Technology Conference” and Nanyang Academy of Sciences of Singapore signed an agreement on “International Scientific and Technological Academic Exchange and Cooperation”, aiming to jointly publish scientific and technological frontier academic journals. Mr. RAYMAN MOK YEOW FAY, President of Nanyang Academy of Sciences, Singapore, has a deep relationship with China and has close cooperation with China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology in the field of scientific and technological innovation. He hopes to better promote the development and progress of frontier science and technology in the world and promote international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with the help of this cooperative publication. On the conference, the two academicians and international academicians expressed their support for the conference by delivering live speeches or video speeches. The topics covered many frontier scientific and technological fields, including graphene, rare earth permanent magnet, epidemic prevention and control, digital economy, traditional Chinese medicine and life science, and metauniverse which is a hot topic recently. For online and offline audiences, it has dedicated a colorful science and technology feast, and people can closely feel the scientific, rigorous, devoted and dedicated spirit of scientific researchers who are struggling in various frontier fields.
Working Committee of the International Association of Academicians of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, China Beijing Agricultural Eco Agricultural Technology Research Institute, Beijing science innovation investment and financing alliance, joint the conference launched the “technology and finance walk into county area” activities, so as to promote capital better serve the substantial economy, improve the transformation efficiency of scientific and technological achievements, promote and optimize the local industrial structure, promote local economic development.
